Nix joins Mansfield

Kyle Nix has signed a two-year deal with Mansfield.

The former Bradford City midfielder, who was released by the Bantams after two years with the club, obviously impressed new boss David Holdsworth who signed the Australian-born left-footer after only a couple of days on trial with the non-league outfit.

Nix trials at Mansfield

Former Bradford City midfielder Kyle Nix is on trial at Mansfield as he looks to earn a contract with the Blue Square Premier club.

Nix, who was released by the Bantams after two years with the club, had been linked with a move to Darlington.

Henderson released by Foxes

Former Bradford City goalkeeper Paul Henderson is one of five senior players to be released by Leicester City.

Henderson joined Leicester at the end of the 2004-05 season after making 43 consecutive appearances for Bradford City.

Fellow Aussie Patrick Kisnorbo joins Henderson in heading for the exit door.

Windass heading down under?

Dean Windass has been linked with a move to Australia with Sunshine Georgies hoping to snare the former Bradford City striker for a few games ahead of a possible A-League move.

The Victorian Premier League side hope to sign Windass for at least ‘three or four games’, former team-mate and current Sunshine coach Andy O’Dell says, with Windass then being linked with either Adelaide United or Perth Glory.

Petta playing in VPL

We’ve been a bit slow with this one, but apparently Bobby Petta is now playing for Heidelberg United in the Victorian Premier League.

Petta was released by Sydney FC at the end of the season and Heidelberg becomes his fourth Australian club after Adelaide United, Para Hills Knights (South Australian Super League) and Sydney.
