Adelaide United midfielder Paul Reid was forced to watch on as his side crashed to a 2-0 defeat at home to Gold Coast United on Friday 21 August 2009 in round 3 of the A-League.
Reid is expected to be out for around three weeks with an abductor injury, which ruled him out of the Hindmarsh Stadium clash. A return seems likely possibly in round six.
Paul Henderson played a full game the following day but his North Queensland Fury side lost again, this time 1-0 at home to Melbourne Victory on Saturday 22 August 2009.
There was something to cheer about for Mark Paston however, as Wellington Phoenix snatched a 1-1 draw against Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium as Chris Greenacre snatched a late equaliser on Sunday 23 August 2009.
Paston again played a full game as his side picked up a hard-earned point.
